The Slec Sky 120 Large Model Trainer has been produced as an entry level into large model aircraft flying using a petrol engine and has been endorsed and adopted by the Large Model Association (LMA) as their preferred choice of Trainer. The Sky-120 has been specifically designed with two aims in mind. Firstly, for the novice builder with little or no experience of model kit construction, who wants the satisfaction of constructing their own model. Secondly, for the accomplished small model pilots, eager to learn and understand the unique experience of building and flying, large radio control models. The construction is of router & laser cut balsawood and Liteply parts which lock together forming a rugged construction. The wings are built in two pieces for ease of transportation and joined with a carbon brace. The kit is supplied with all the wood parts, sheets and strips needed to complete the model. Also included is fibre glass cowl, pre- bend aluminium undercarriage, a big pack of accessories (horns, linkages, hinges etc), full size plans and comprehensive picture instructions. The all up weight is between 18-20 lbs (9kg) and has been designed for petrol or glow engines from 20cc to 38cc. The prototype model was tested using a Zenoah 38cc petrol engine and is the preferred choice. Now supplied with M3 Metal fitting, Robart Hinges and extra strong Undercarriage.
