The particular plastic selected for Clear Hinge Tape is flexible, tear resistant and ideally suited for control surface hinges. The adhesive adheres well to any smooth, clean, fuel-free surface. Ideal for aileron hinges on sailplanes since it permits no airflow through the hinge line to spoil the intent of the airfoil. Can be used for all control surfaces. Not recommended for glow powered airplanes
